The Rotary Clubs of Mijas International and Marbella-Guadalmina
organised a very special VIENNESE BALL on Saturday, lst October at The Salon Andalucia, Hotel Puente Romano, Marbella. The event was one of elegance with fine food, wine and dancing, and of course, the best music of Strauss and Vienna, with guests dancing until midnight.
The event launched a new orchestra, “Orquesta de Camara Andaluza”, of classical musicians aged between 22 and 32 years. The Covid pandemic had severely limited their ability to play in public. Shane O’Shea, of Project Music (who also conducted) was responsible for giving them this opportunity.
The event was generously sponsored by Talk Radio Europe, Roccabox and Siesta Homes.
The main focus of the event was for charity with the fundraising supporting three projects, End Plastic Soup, Mi Moana and Home of Hope for Girls. The raffle and auction collected over 6000€ for these worthwhile projects.
